The first meeting of the Sarah Key Institute was a roller coaster of discussion, lectures and cutting edge science of backs. We were graced with the presence of Professor Mike Adams for a fascinating talk on disc degeneration as well as Jivko Stoyanov from the university of Lucerne. Jivko talked of his stem cell research at the paraplegic research institute in Lucerne and of a hopeful alliance with the Sarah Ken institute to create ways to prolong the life of stem cells inside degenerate discs. My research conclusion was presented to the panel and will be incorporated into the model for spinal breakdown that will underpin the future of the SKI. Exciting, ground breaking stuff that keeps us all focused on changing back care for the future.
